Trees of our Garden City: A Guide to the Common Trees of Singapore" was published by the Singapore National Parks Board (NParks) in 2001. It is a highly pictorial book that aims to introduce the numerous species of trees planted in our garden city over the years. It showcases 65 trees and 15 palms, arranged in alphabetical order of their botanical names. If you are unfamiliar with botanical names, a table of common names is available to assist your search. You should be able to find the tree you are looking for by verifying it against the numerous pictures therein! Trees of our Garden City also contains short chapters on tree planting, care and maintenance, the pests and diseases trees are susceptible to, as well as, hints on the selection of tree species and factors to consider for rooftop gardens
