Field Guide for Energy Performance, Comfort, and Value in Hawaii Homes
In early 2000 the State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism developed voluntary guidelines for energy-efficient design and construction of single family homes. Entitled Guidelines for Energy Performance, Comfort, and Value in Hawaii Homes, the Guidelines are a resource for architects, builders, developers, and owner-builders. The Guidelines identify significant opportunities to reduce energy use, improve comfort, lower utility bills, provide value, and improve the quality of life for Hawaii’s home owners.
