Analisis Pengaruh Kepercayaan dan Persepsi Risiko terhadap Intensi Berinvestasi di Pasar Modal Indonesia (Studi Kasus pada Mahasiswa dan Non-Mahasiswa di Jakarta)
Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) has done several attempts of activites in order to raise the participation of Indonesia citizen to invest in local equity market, and scholars recently. However, the the number of participation by local investor in local equity market still showing small number from both scholars and non-scholars. Financial factor is not the only factor that restraining scholars and non-scholars from investing on Indonesia equity market, but also psychology factors could affect the investor behavior. Therefore, the study aims to examine the effect of trust and perceived risk towards scholar’s and non- scholar’s intention to invest in Indonesian equity market. The data obtained using questionnaires distribution to 100 respondents in Jakarta, using purposive sampling method. To test the hypotheses, the study uses Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS v3.2.7. The result shows that trust significantly affects intention to invest. This study also found that perceived risk is not significantly affects intention to invest. Furthermore, this study suggests the IDX and government to maintain benevolence act and integrate Indonesia equity market. This would increase the trust of scholars and non-scholars to participate in investing activities in Indonesia equity market.
